The Old Vicarage B&B, Little Ouse

While taking off the ivy from the church facing side of the building, we came across the following name and date carved into the brick “A N Newell – 4/11/1941”. The ivy seems to have done an excellent job of preservation.

As we have no historical records for the property covering this date, we would be interested to know if this is a local boy or did the building house evacuees?
