Location and things to do

Little Ouse is located conveniently close to both transport links, leisure facilities and towns and cities such as Littleport, Ely, Newmarket and Cambridge. Being in Little Ouse, you enjoy a quiet rural location, while only being a short drive from all amenities.

The Old Vicarage is in a hamlet with no shops, pubs, cafes or bus service. The closest pub/restaurant is The Swan in LittlePort which is a seven minute drive. You can walk to the Ship Inn along the Little Ouse river which is approximately a twenty minute walk or a ten minute drive. On the way to the Ship Inn, if you are walking, you can see the lowest trig point in the country. We do get a lot of guest who book with a purpose to explore the area – perhaps going to a race night at Newmarket or to one of the concerts at Sandringham or one of several National Trust properties within driving distance, such as Oxburgh Estate https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/visit/norfolk/oxburgh-estate

Our neighbours, just over the river at Iron Bridge Farm (cross the iron bridge), run Brandon Creek Boat Hire. If you are booking with them for one of their afternoon tea boat excursions or their day boat hire, why not stay at The Old Vicarage to get an early start or to round off your day.
