The Old Vicarage B&B, Little Ouse

As the house and stable block are undergoing renovation, it’s a good time to get some nesting boxes hung. We’ll hang three bat boxes in close proximity to attempt to get a colony. We see a few bats in the summer, and presume their home might be in the old church tower.

We have also noticed some blue tits and and larger members of the family as well as robins in the garden over the last couple of years. Each of the boxes contains some bird houses for each type. We have some reducing rings, to make sure those smaller birds have a chance for some of the boxes. They’ll be installed in the next couple of weeks.
