The Old Vicarage B&B, Little Ouse

When I first arrived here one the older locals told me several stories about the local area. An intriguing one was the story of a large black ghost dog, that roams the Fens across East Anglia and at times appears on the small bridge before the hamlet of Little Ouse.

Many years ago an accident happened where a curate of St John’s, crashed his motorcycle, at the bridge and died. Local folklore is, that around the same time the spectral dog was seen!

There are several books on the subject and in Bungay, the main weather vane in the town depicts him.
