This Bosch PDA100 sander has held up pretty well over the last few years. The head is past its best, the surface that allows the sandpaper to grip has finally worn out and the sandpaper falls off. A quick search on Amazon and Campbell Miller Tools in Glasgow supplied a new head for £15 including postage

The replacement is simple, just press the red button on the head of the sander. This allows the old head to be popped off. Then just align the lugs of the new unit up and clip the new head in place. It takes about a minute.
