A Peahen in the Mountain Ash

I have been informed that several years ago there were around seventeen or so peacocks and peahens in the vicinity. Where they had come from, local rumours abound! Over the last few years though the numbers have dropped drastically. From seeing a group of two or three males and several females, the numbers this year only seem to be one or two remaining.

This evening though, the ear splitting call of a peahen was once more. Sat in one of the mountain ash trees in the garden.
