Two Collared Dove Chicks doing well

Whilst the roof is being refurbished, a Eurasian Collared Dove has decided to setup home in the scaffold outside the Servants door. This is a good position as the scaffold boards above give shelter from the excesses of the English summer. In addition, the doorway is situated, so that it is never exposed to full sunlight.

The landing window in the servants quarters is a perfect vantage point to observe their progress. They seem to be maturing very fast. I don’t think the zoom lens on my phone is very good. If you look carefully, you should be able to see the outlines of the two chicks.
