Harvest time at The Old Vicarage

The last month has seen a glut of produce. Most of this, if not consumed within the household is taken away by either friends or guests staying at the B&B. The plums and tomatoes are especially tasty. Although we’ve had a dry year, no water was used on the vegetable garden and no chemicals. Everything is organic.

Up a ladder getting the Almonds
A summer cabbage
Pears as well as plums and runner beans
The peacock likes to knock the ripe tomatoes off and have a peck
And some apples, getting to the last of them.
A small selection for guest to take away with them.
leeks, sprouts, kale and savoy cabbage coming along nicely. Next year’s onion set are there as well.
