The Old Vicarage B&B, Little Ouse

The majority of the tree stumps were either ground down, or ripped out by an eighteen ton digger. Before this easy option was taken, I spent some months drilling and pouring old kitchen oil into the stumps that had been cut for at least two years. I then created a bonfire round each and after a while they just become wicks like a candle and burnt themselves down to ground level.
