The Old Vicarage Summer Party took place on Saturday the 11th of July. The theme was Bastille Day and the house and gardens were dressed accordingly. Petanque (boules), crocket, badminton and hoopla were available for the younger attendees.
The Mayor and Deputy Mayor preparing for a hard day’s work. There was a vote and balloons made up. It was very Gilbert & Sullivan.

They were taped in to the guillotine which worked remarkably well.
The Old Vicarage became a French Town Hall for the day.
The Mayor welcoming some French people to the event.
‘Allo, Allo’ was also present as the marquee became Cafe Rene Artois, hero of the resistance.
The Deputy Mayor gave a comedy French quiz after which there was an amazing magic show.
The guillotine was secured to a tree to make it safer as there was a breeze. It still managed to pop the balloons.
We ended up running out of balloons!
